Live painting session with Q&A: November 30 5:30-6 Live painting session with Q&A: November 30 5:30-6:30pm PST ✨ Pour yourself a glass of wine and bring your questions to this live painting session with Q&A. In this fun, informal session, we will be able to chat while I demonstrate what I am working on at the studio. Ask questions throughout and see the progress in real time. This session is free if you are a member of my online atelier, and $15 CAD for non-members. Link in bio to join. Held over Zoom. See you on the 30th! If you’re in NYC, on Thursday, Nov 18th head over to @sugarlift gallery to celebrate the fact that over $15,000 was raised for @feedingamerica through this competition. In addition to great art, Sugarlift is bringing back their tradition of good music, a keg of beer and ice cream. The opening is at 508 W 28th Street on Nov 18th. from 6:00 to 8:00PM. Saying goodbye to this studio today. I’ve loved Saying goodbye to this studio today. I’ve loved working here, and fortunately have a few more days in Pouch Cove to let the dust settle, before I return home to Victoria. I arrived with a goal of finishing this painting, and though I’m not quite ready to call it finished, I went as far as I could while here. I’m curious to see it in my own studio, and wonder if it will look different there. Perhaps then I’ll have more clarity on what it needs, even if it’s just calling it done. The social aspect of the residency was an unexpected delight. I’ve met some wonderful artists and really enjoyed the fellowship and warmth of our little community here. I also managed to get a few figure painting studies done, which are providing some exciting ideas for a new body of work. All in all, an unforgettable experience. Thank you to @pouchcove_org for having me here, and @canada.council for the grant.
